The ancient Sumerians in 3500 BCE were one of the biggest civilizations in the known world. Over time, their culture, religion and ways of life were lost, buried in the sands of time. “Anunnaki”, meaning God of the Sky in ancient Sumerian, is the title of Osyron’s newest single and music video. Out today, the single features Polish band Percival Schuttenbach (The Witcher 3 OST) and is the fourth track to come off of the band’s upcoming record Momentous, hitting shelves everywhere on November 4th. The music video was shot and directed by Zak Kelly (Kreativ Production House) with CGI actor Jin Fedotov and dancer Mackenzie Hollinger. Watch the music video HERE.and listen to the single HERE! “Anunnaki is in reference to the unknown past of human history and cultures that once lived. Is recorded history as we know it the whole truth or has it been rewritten to some extent? The single is in reference to the many incredible civilizations and cultures that have been lost, destroyed and erased through time just like the ancient Sumerians who were silenced. History is always written in favour of the winning side,” explains the band.

Mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering (Faith No More, Dream Theater, Voivod, Armored Saint), the album is nothing short of a musical masterpiece. It boasts the group’s technical prowess, fantastical storytelling and outstanding vocal performances that metal fans everywhere have come to know and love from Osyron. Sure to leave listeners in awe, it deals with the many emotions, trials, personal battles, losses and victories that humanity faced during the pandemic. The biggest struggle faced by the band during this time was the struggle of looking inwards at themselves. Many had to relearn to love one another, and even turned against each other. A truly momentous moment in their career, not only for them as people, but for everyone. The album was mixed by Tyler Corbett at Sole Audio (bassist) and the drums were recorded by Josh Rob Gwilliam at OCL Studios in Chestermere, Alberta. All other instruments were recorded by Cody Anstey (drums) at his studio CRM Sound.
