OVERKILL Release Music Video For “Welcome To The Garden State” + The Wings Of War Out Now!
Today, legendary New Jersey thrashers OVERKILL are proud to unleash their 19th studio record, The Wings Of War, via Nuclear Blast. Bobby Blitz comments, “Not before in our video history have we presented something so artistically-seedy. This due to the brilliant yet twisted, vision of the editing room genius, behind the camera magic and damn tenacity of Mr. Tommy Jones; a good standing card carrying Jersey Boy, who did the band and the state proud. We had verbalized the story line to Tommy, who fully got it and we all created something to be proud of. So when you visit the Garden State, see or hear something that is different for you and you think, ‘hmmmm that’s not the way we do it at home.’ Remember this, you’re not at home anymore… are you?”
Tonight, the band is hosting a special listening party at Jamesburg Elks Lounge 2180. The night, hosted byOld Bridge Militia Foundation, will include performances by HEADMOTOR and ALEX KAYNE as well as raffles and giveaways.
OVERKILL launched a multi-part documentary series entitled “Welcome To The Garden States“. The series chronicles various aspects of their career including the bands origin, their influences, and their iconic music video “Hello From the Gutter” that was featured on MTV as well as talking about the new album The Wings Of War. OVERKILL kick off their The Wings Over USA 2019 tour on April 25th in Baltimore. The trek will make stops in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Nashville before concluding in Boston on May 11th. Joining the tour are none other than San Francisco Bay Area thrash legends and label mates DEATH ANGEL and ex-members of Megadeth, Shadows Fall, and Scar The Martyr, ACT OF DEFIANCE.
