Perth Metalcore Dynamos Release Visceral New Single ‘Godspeed’
Perth metalcore dynamos Sedative just dropped their new single ‘Godspeed’, taken from their debut record ‘Death Romantic’ due for release on May 20th, 2022. Driven by harrowing breakdowns and unrelenting grooves, ‘Godspeed’ marks a new era for Sedative delivering their signature raw intensity in a high quality production package.
Introducing itself with a merciless punch, ‘Godspeed’ treats listeners to an onslaught of syncopated instrumentation, terse riffs, a relentless rhythm section and rapid fire gutturals. Erupting in a nostalgia-driven and aggressive wall of sound from the opening note, the group’s commendable musicianship builds and resolves tension effortlessly in a way that sends shivers down your spine. Vocalist Matthew Daly spits fire laden with haunting hooks that will stay with the listener long after the song has finished. This is exactly what’s special about Sedative, they bare it all to explore confronting themes with their high velocity talent savaging the listener from multiple instrumental and vocal angles.

Following this successful release, Sedative brought their energetic live performance to stages across WA including the support of heavyweights Falcifer (SA), Catalyst (SA) and the Aftermath Perth Side Show in November.
Building upon their latest single ‘Romilda Vane’ which landed on Spotify’s “Homegrown & Heavy” editorial playlist and has garnered over 15,000+ streams so far, Sedative will be taking their raucous live shows across the country on their co-headline ‘Cyber Tour’ with Catalyst as well as an appearance at Slovenian death-metal heavyweights Within Destruction’s ‘Yokai’ 2022 Australian Tour.
