portrayal of guilt delivered their uncompromising debut full-length “Let Pain Be Your Guide”, on November 16th via Gilead Media in North America and Holy Roar in Europe. portrayal of guilt have proven themselves as a unique force in hardcore and intense screamo; their Self-Titled 7” and ‘Chamber of Misery (Pt. I)’ 5” are unmatched in sheer intensity, not to mention the razor-sharp assault delivered on their split with industrial-metallers Street Sects.

“Let Pain Be Your Guide” sees portrayal of guilt at a fever pitch; the album is a visceral, multi-faceted attack that blurs the line between punk, post hardcore, metal and more. Akin to the discordant output from the likes of Pg.99 or Magic Bullet’s releases; portrayal of guilt blend high-octane swells of negative hardcore and cut throat metal. Artillery-fire tracks like ‘A Burden’ and ‘Life Holds Nothing’ and the post-punk suffused ‘Your War’ showcase glimpses of warped melodies that diversify the album’s unrelenting nature.

“Let Pain Be Your Guide” was recorded in a basement over the course of 48 hours with Matt Michel (Majority Rule, NØ MAN) in Dunn Loring, VA and features guest vocals from Matt Michel, Dylan Walker (Full of Hell) & Maha Shami (NØ MAN). The stunning visual art for the album was created by Chris Taylor (Pg.99, Pygmy Lush).

“Let Pain Be Your Guide” proves to be one of the year’s highlights as the most unhinged and striking albums across all genres of heavy music.
