For over 50 years, the composer, musician, and producer KLAUS SCHULZE rolled out expansive sounds and legendary sequences. Today, 101, MILKY WAY, a real treasure from KLAUS SCHULZE‘s musical legacy, is being released via SPV Recordings.
In close consultation with the relatives of the electronic legend who passed away in 2022, SPV revisited the archives of the master of the Moog synthesizer, bringing to light one of the KLAUS SCHULZE works that absolutely must be presented to the world
The genesis of this album has a history of its own. At the end of 2008, an inquiry from a German film production company asked if KLAUS SCHULZE would perhaps create the score for a planned film documentary about computer hackers. This simple request turned into a complete album for SCHULZE, yet Alex Biedermann, the director of the documentary film Hacker, only used small parts as soft background music.
The complete work, 101, MILKY WAY, created in 2009, is now available for the first time. You could consider it a greeting from KLAUS‘ new cosmic home somewhere in the universe.
