‘M.I.A’. is the new single from Cleveland progressive metalcore outfit MIDWINTER. Emotional and complex, this track exemplifies the band’s ability to add layers and twists to the modern leanings of metalcore through atmospheric and melodic soundscapes.
MIDWINTER formed in 2021 and released two demos a year later. ‘M.I.A.’ is the first major release for the band. The single, produced by Scooter Allen of Rewire Recording Studios and mastered by Mike Kalajian of Rogue Planet Master, is relatable to many as it speaks about the undertones of PTSD causing a person to feel insignificant and unimportant.
