Italian rockers Rain have just released “A New Tomorrow”, the first single and titletrack off their upcoming album (to be released later this year)!
“A New Tomorrow is a message shot straight to the heart, leaving no room for uncertainty. It’s a bold statement to shake and awake the soul after a long-lasting silence” says singer and lyricist of the band, Maurizio “EVIL MALA” Malaguti. “It’s the expression of a need buried deep within, yet it gets straight to the point. It’s a conscious effort to inspire people to be proactive and build, in short, a new tomorrow”.
Regarding their upcoming homonymous album “A New Tomorrow”, composer and founding member of the band Alessio “AMOS” Amorati, along with Freddy “V” Veratti, states the following: “The album will contain the best tunes we’ve written in years, for which we also have to thank executive producer Giuseppe “Dualized” Bassi. He helped us find the best sound and the best arrangements for all 11 tracks, which I’m sure will take you on an amazing inner journey together with us. We also decided to cover Megadeth’s “Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying” – words which are, sadly, still relevant today.
The song was recorded at Fear Studios in Alfonsine, Italy, mixed by Giuseppe “Dualized” Bassi and mastered by Dan Korneff (Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance, Lamb of God, Ill Nino, Overkill). Artwork by Umberto Stagni (Pastavolante).
Rain was established in 1980: throughout various lineup changes, constant updates in production style and sound, the group has been relentlessly carrying on their heavy metal legacy ever since. Energetic, irreverent and street-oriented “hard ‘n’ heavy”, in the most genuine and rock’n’roll sense of the term. A classic sound, yet never too nostalgic and always current. Over the years, the band was able to share the stage with musical giants such as Slayer, Anthrax, Children Of Bodom, Gotthard and Hardcore Superstar, to name a few.
