Sweden’s MORPHETIK are about to drop their second full length, ‘Proclamation of War’ down like a bomb –an album that will have no problem collecting fans across the international metal scene. The album’s length of twenty six minutes across ten tracks makes for perfect replay value for the bombastic, speedy songs. What the songs lack in length, they make up in searing riffs, staunch rhythmic rage, and caustic vocals. “Proclamation of War” will usher in a modern age of thrash that pays homage to the originals while keeping their eye towards the future. The album was recorded by Franco Escalona (NIGHTRAGE, ALWAYS WARE) and mixed/mastered by Jocke Rydbjer (WOLF BRIGADE) so every little detail in the band’s powerful sound stands out.
Four years ago, members of NAZGHOR and NECROBEAST formed MORPHETIK with the goal to play thrash metal—the raw and violent way. The band released their first album ‘Omens of War’ in 2020 and followed it up with two split albums with NECROBEAST. With the release of “Proclamation of War,” early next year, the band shows marked improvement and a desire to bring their thrash attack to the metal masses.
