REGIONAL ONE PREMIERES A STRIKING VIDEO FOR NEW COMMANDING SINGLE “SOLD!”
THE BAND’S NEW EP WITH THE SAME NAME IS NOW OUT EVERYWHERE!
The stage is set as the auctioneer raises his gavel in the new music video for Regional One‘s debut EP title track, “Sold!”, during which a hyper-rich, secretive, elite class of individuals bid for the souls of those less fortunate than themselves.
With its punchy verses, harmonic bridges, and melodic choruses; “Sold!” takes influence from artists such as Avenged Sevenfold, Black Stone Cherry, and Muse, all wrapped up with a headbanger of a riff. This song is written around a hyper-realised version of class struggles, continuing to build on the dystopian themes found in Regional One’s previous singles, including the haunting “Bedlam”, the explosive “Smoke It Away”, the firm “Dead Silence”, the robust “Control”, the solid “Chosen”, and the eclectic “Rise”.
This music video was conceptualized during the lock downs, during a time where the news was reporting on politicians and celebrities seemingly living by a different set of rules to the rest of the world. With a team of both close friends and fans, this video was realized independent of a studio or production company, and was recorded just as the lock downs in the UK were lifting
On the topic of its latest release, the band collectively shares: “We finally get to release something physical, something tangible, something we have created that wouldn’t otherwise exist if it weren’t for the members of this band putting blood sweat and tears into this music, and for the amazing people all around us who have helped us and encouraged us at any step of the way. We really want to thank anyone who is listening, sharing, and supporting our passion and our music, we hope we can see you all soon!”
“Sold!” is the title track for Regional One’s debut EP, which consists of a collection of their releases thus far, and signifies the formation’s first real step into the world of rock music.
