Shameless bassist Alexx Michael is excited to announce the release of the tenth album, Live Your Dream

“Wait A Minute, Doc. Are You Telling Me You Built A Time Machine…Out Of A DeLorean?” – Back To The Future (1985)

Shameless bassist Alexx Michael is excited to announce the release of the tenth Shameless album, Live Your Dream, out now and available to order here: https://rockpapermerch.com/collections/shameless

This limited edition picture disc (300 copies worldwide) and cassette (200 copies worldwide) is released in conjunction with Michael’s book Looking Inside : The Stainless Sensation, a 500 page deluxe bound definitive  history of John DeLorean, the DMC 12 and the DeLorean Motor Company.

The picture disc features DeLorean themed graphics and features the new track “Live Your Dream” and a cover of “East Bound And Down” from the Smokey and the Bandit movie. The album’s 10 tracks are rounded out by Shameless classics taking you back in their time machine to the heyday of 80s glam rock.

Reformed in 1998 with partner guitarist BC and help of drummer Eric Singer (Kiss, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath), Shameless is notable for having numerous American rockers appearing on their albums. They have established themselves as a band that doesn’t give a damn that the 80s are over and continue to turn out good-natured party rock and roll, regardless of shifting musical tends and styles.

For Live Your Dream, Michael again teamed up with guitarist partner BC, Steve Summers (Pretty Boy Floyd) and Stevie Rachelle (Tuff). Due to the pandemic making in-person studio recording impossible, Michael recorded Live Your Dream through collaborations from all over the planet including Munich, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, St. Louis, Copenhagen and Auckland New Zealand. As always the list of guest musicians is endless. Bruce Kulick (Kiss) and Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Ozzy) are featured on the title track “Live Your Dream” along with guest vocalist Charlotte Tybalt of Blue Ruin. Kulick again contributes guitar tracks on “East Bound And Down” joined by Jaret Reddick of Bowling For Soup on vocals. The rest of the disc is highlighted by appearances by Keri Kelli (Slash, Alice Cooper, Night Ranger), Tracii Guns & Steve Riley (L.A. Guns), Frankie Muriel (King Of The Hill), Michael Thomas (Beautiful Creatures, Adler’s Appetite) among others.

SHAMELESS BIO

Shameless are a kick ass rock glam band formed in the Spring of 1989 by bassist Alexx “Skunk” Michael in Munich, Germany. After a breakup, Michael decided to reform Shameless in 1998 with his friend and guitar player BC. Alexx enlisted help from drummer Eric Singer (KISS, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath), who’s introduction to Steve “Sex” Summers (Pretty Boy Floyd) and Stevie Rachelle (Tuff) started a long lasting musical relationship,

BACKSTREET ANTHEMS (1998)

For their debut release, Backstreet Anthems, the band hired an all-star lineup that included Bruce Kulick (Kiss), Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), Robert Sweet (Stryper) and Brian Tichy (Ozzy, Billy Idol, Whitesnake). Backstreet Anthems was produced by former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and recorded at Keri Kelli’s (Alice Cooper, Slash’s Snakepit) studio in Orange County, California. The release contained 10 tracks including covers of “A Hard Dayz Night” (The Beatles) and “Flaming Youth” (Kiss).

QUEEN 4 A DAY (2000)

Shameless continued to build a cult following in the hard rock underground. In January of 2000, Alexx & BC returned to Keri Kelli’s studio to record their sophomore release, Queen 4 A Day. Keeping the successful formula of their debut release in place, Michael and BC once again recruited some famous guest performers including Eric Singer, Bruce Kulick, Jani Lane (Warrant), Keith Alan (Big Bang Babies) and Steve Riley (L.A. Guns). Covers of the Kiss classics “Talk To Me,” “You’re All That I Want” and “Tomorrow” were recorded for the Kiss Tribute CD Undressed : An Unmasked Tribute To Kiss. Shameless toured Germany and the Netherlands including several performances where the band was joined onstage by Kulick.

SPLASHED (2002)

With a cohesive line-up that included Alexx Michael (bass), BC (guitar), Stevie Rachelle & Steve Summers (vocals) and Mike Fasano (drums), the third release, Splashed, carried on the Shameless spirit of real rock and roll while having good time. The release contained 11 original tracks with a bonus DVD of material from their 2000 tour. The band set out on a sold out tour of England, Germany, Holland, Austria and Italy, recording several shows for their first live release, Super Hardcore Show (2003).

FAMOUS 4 MADNESS (2006)

It would be three years before Shameless returned to record their next studio release in December of 2006. Famous 4 Madness saw the band in fine form and enlisting help from outside musicians including Eric Singer, Keri Kelli, Jani Lane, Phil Lewis (L.A. Guns), John Corabi (The Scream, Motley Crue) and Kari Kane (Pretty Boy Floyd). The band embarked on an European tour and stayed on the road through 2010.

DIAL S FOR SEX (2011)

Released in December 2011, Dial S For Sex once again had Keri Kelli at the helm. “Summertime Goodbye” with guest guitarist Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P.) and a cover of the Katy Perry’s “Hot N’ Cold” with vocalist Lauren Breen were both well received. Other highlights include a vocal appearance by Janie Lane on the ballad “Far Away,” and a glam cover version of the classic “Always On My Mind.” The band would follow up Dial S For Sex with their first greatest hits release, the 18 track Greatest Hits Of Insanity (2012).

BEAUTIFUL DISASTER (2013)

“Forever Ends Today,” the first single off Shameless’s sixth studio release Beautiful Disaster, features Tod T Burr (Tuff, Pretty Boy Floyd) on drums and Michael Thomas on guitar (Beautiful Creatures, Adler’s Appetite). Shameless continued with their tradition of giving the glam treatment to covers of the Alice Cooper classic “I’m Eighteen” and the T Rex / Marc Bolan classic “Life’s A Gas,” which also featured Cherie Currie, former vocalist of The Runaways. This was Currrie’s first appearance in the recording studio since 1998. Currie also lent her unique vocal talents on the Shameless original “Dear Mum.”

THE FILTHY 7 (2017)

2017 saw the release of the 11 track The Filthy 7. Phil Lewis makes a guest vocalist appearance on “I Don’t Wanna Know” while Tracii Guns contributed guitar work alongside BC. Vocalist Frankie Muriel (King Of The Hill) makes his debut appearance with the band singing on 2 tracks including the cover of Billy Ocean’s “Get Outta My Dream, Get In To My Car.” As Michael delved deeper into the history of the Delorean automobile this only seemed a natural cover. The band again hit the road touring Europe and their homebase of Germany through 2018.

As for what the future holds… “Live Your Dream” …
