SIEGRID INGRID announces new album “Back From Hell” and special re-releases!
The Brazilian metal legend SIEGRID INGRID announces for this year the release of their new album titled “Back From Hell” and the re-releases of their first two iconic albuns “Pissed Off” (1995) and “The Corpse Falls” (1999), both filled with many previously unreleased bonus material.
“Back From Hell” will be the band’s first official album in 23 years and the first featuring the new drummer Herbert Loureiro (ex-Adellaide, ex-Revenge, ex-Seventh Seal) replacing Evandro Junior, who recorded “The Corpse Falls”and was involved in Siegrid Ingrid’s first post-return to activities release, the single “Damned Conviction”, in 2020.
“We did some auditions with other drummers after Evandro Junior’s departure, but Herbert fitted in perfectly, so we could keep our aggressive style without losing our identity. The choice was also because his style completed our ideas in terms of new material, incorporating a lot of technique and influences in other styles, making our songs stronger and more complete”, commented L. Morales ‘Boro’.
The current Siegrid Ingrid line-up counts on Mauro ‘Punk’ (vocals), L. Morales ‘Boro’ (guitar), Andre Gubber (guitar), Luiz Berenguer (bass) and Herbert Loureiro (drums).
Two re-releases are planned for very soon: The debut album “Pissed Off will be re-released in CD+DVD format by Tumba Records, ex-Siegrid Ingrid and current Nervochaos drummer Edu Lane’s record label and events producer, containing besides the 10 original songs more 18 tracks recorded live at the old Brasil 2000 FM radio station in Sao Paulo and two complete shows live at Aeroanta/SP on DVD. The second album “The Corpse Falls” will be out via Cogumelo Records, containing 3 live tracks recorded at the MTV’s Furia Metal program plus the single “Damned Conviction” as bonus.
“Back From Hell” will be heavier and more aggressive, abusing the chaotic and caustic lyrics as usual, leaving more evident the striking characteristics that have always accompanied the band, the Thrash Metal with pinches of Hardcore and Death Metal. As the name of the album says, the band is really back from hell and full of punch!
“These are our main characteristics. The essence of our sound remains intact, but now it is fully energized and updated. It’s gonna be a comeback from hell as a phoenix of hate”, concluded L. Morales ‘Boro’.

“Damned Conviction” had the vocals recorded at Dual Noise Studio (Sao Paulo/Brazil), and was produced by Michel Oliveira (Sputinik Studio), the same producer who will also be responsible for “Back From Hell”.
The album title “Back From Hell” was chosen to express all the problems that happened and catastrophically occurred with the band after the release of “The Corpse Falls”, in 1999. “We had a huge visibility and publicity at the time, which nobody in the band expected, also all Mauro ‘Punk’s’ problems with his drug addiction became impossible to sustain. Virtually all the official members lost contact and interest in continuing, culminating in numerous unsuccessful lineup changes. After the rehabilitation of Punk, who has been clean for over 10 years, and some reunions, we resumed the career energized in 2019 and now with everything on track with the entry of Herbert”, added ‘Boro’.
“For “Back From Hell”, I had a lot of freedom creating and putting my own personality into the songs. I’m very anxious to see it released, because it’s a strong material that I’m really excited about and I’m sure all the fans, old and new, will really enjoy it”, concluded Herbert Loureiro.“A new and powerful Siegrid Ingrid is back! I didn’t die, I’m here clean and stronger than ever, ready to kick all major asses again! “Back From Hell” will be a blast and a real thunderstorm!”, concluded the excited Mauro ‘Punk’.
Siegrid Ingrid intends to come back on tour in 2023 promoting “Back From Hell” on all stages as possible and the first confirmed commitment is Be Magic Fest 2023 (Rio de Janeiro), expected in July, along with the other great bands like Genocidio, Stress, Taurus, Hicsos, Dorsal Atlantica, among others.
