Sidewalk Mafia (FI) Metal | Doom Metal | Goth
Sidewalk Mafia is a blackened doom/goth metal band from Helsinki, Finland, founded in 2020 by vocalist/guitarist Tommy Paroles and drummer Johannes Wolfpathon. The band operates as a duo, but in a gig situation, the band becomes a trio featuring a guest bassist. The sound of Sidewalk Mafia is extremely heavy and oppressive with low tuned guitars, but also melodic and at the same time atmospheric, with a wall of sound type production.
Sidewalk Mafia influences come from the heavier and alternative rock of the 90s and metal bands. Sounds and moods of that time come in to play as well as both band members started listening and playing rock in those styles, all those years ago. In addition to those influences, the group’s sound also features lots of goth vibes, darker and gloomy sounds as well. The band’s live shows are always mind-boggling, true crushing metal experience for the audience.
Various singles and the Rotten Apples EP were released in 2021 through Blood Rite Records and the debut album, 72 Hours, is set for release via Sliptrick Records on May 27th.
