Finnish Rockers STANDING CREW release first single BURN IN HELL (LIKE ME) with new front man, with SODEH Records.
This release is first official single with new front man Mr. Fire, since the bands last release of the Christmas single ”First Noel” at start of December.
The song has been in the works for a while and all the instruments were recorded a while ago, but after losing their lead vocalist, releasing this single got delayed. When Mr. Fire joined the crew, the song finally became complete. Mr. Fire is a long-time rock singer who decided after a long break to step back into the wonderful world of rock.
“This song is about people who make mistakes, even when they know it’s a mistake. The desire of something forbidden, dirty and nasty, things that hurts you, but that’s why you like it. So you build your own hell… The instruments rumble brutally through the song, and the vocals squeeze every last drop out of the story for people to hear.” Explains the band.
Biography
It started as a two man therapy project, when Jay and TJ went to their rehearsal room trying to spend some time (and drink few beers). They made a few demos, and it started to feel that this stuff should turn to a band. After couple of lineup tryouts, they found 3 other great guys to join in a band. But of course, when everything seemed to go well, there came changes to the lineup and the Covid 19-shutdown. But now the band has developed into 5 Finnish guys trying to maintain Rock’N’Roll clichés, mainly songs that tell us how to get to dealing with the opposite sex, or in their case, how in spite of attempts is reached there off. Grab a beer crank it up and loose yourself into some kick ass 80’s and 90’s style Punk and Hard Rock. You might hear influences from bands like Mötley Crüe, Billy Idol etc.
PRESS
”It’s a fun blast of punk frivolities, recognisably First Noel, but given a fresh coat of paint. All credit to Standing Crew, who give it their absolute all here and manage to capture both the time of the year but making it thoroughly punk rock too.” –gbhbl.com
“The song is straightforward and energetic street rock, where a distorted electric guitar and a ticking bass keep the pulse on point. The drums thump, but don’t go flat, and the singer hits it with his masculine style. Okay, all of this has already been heard many times, but despite that, Cold Steel hits the button with one hit.” –desibeli.net
