Medusian is a symphonic metal band based out of Gothenburg, Sweden. Where every song is an original story built upon a foundation of heavy guitars, fast drums, intricate bass, expressive vocals, and massive orchestration, Medusian builds on every detail to bring the listener to an expressive soundscape where the band’s stories can be told.
Following the success of their latest single and music video Facestealer, the band is excited to unveil their newest single, Bull of Crete. Accompanied by a gripping lyric video, Bull of Crete is now available for streaming on their official YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/i0WVsKtLjxI
“Bull of Crete, our second single, is a song about an interpretation of Greek Mythology. The story of Asterion, the Minotaur, and his mother Pasiphae is one of great power, cruelty, and harm brought on many people, but not the King of Crete, Minos, who tried to cheat Poseidon due to his own greed and pride. The music and orchestration of the song balances a far more brutal and savage tone than our previous single, Facestealer, but simultaneously tries to bring forth the tragedy of the victims of Poseidon’s wrath. Our vocalist, Mitchell Colbert, used different techniques of screaming and growling to convey the voices of different characters. To further this, his friend and vocal coach Mina Giannipoulou, provides operatic and epic guest vocals to portray the feelings and pain of the mother of the Minotaur. We’re extremely proud of Bull of Crete, and we feel the drama it brings forth is truly representative of the mythology of Gods that inspired it.” – says the band
