SWORN ENEMY ANNOUNCES U.S. TOUR DATES WITH SACRED REICH

With the release of their Robb Flynn-produced new album “Gamechanger” just one month away, the Queens, New York-based SWORN ENEMY have announced their first American tour in support of the record – a series of shows alongside thrash veterans Sacred Reich that begins May 4 in Denver. A complete list of the group’s upcoming dates – which include four performances alongside Excel and a pair with Vio-Lence – appears below, with more to be added in the coming weeks.

“We’re really looking forward to getting out on the road in support of our new album ‘Gamechanger,’” says vocalist Sal Lococo. “Speaking of being out on the road, we will be touring with thrash legends Sacred Reich, Vio-Lence and Excel from May 4th until June 1st. Make sure you bring your surfboard, because we are all gonna Surf Nicaragua!”

“Step the fuck back before you get knocked out,” Lococo warns in the opening line of the SWORN ENEMY’s recently-released single “Prepare For Payback.” It’s a fitting mission statement for a hard-knuckled album that expertly fuses metal, thrash and New York hardcore. The single currently sits at #12 on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal’s Devil’s Dozen (most requested/most played songs of the week). Produced by Machine Head’s Flynn and mixed/mastered by Zack Ohren (Suffocation, Fallujah, Warbringer), “Gamechanger” is currently for pre-order on CD and limited-edition blue splatter vinyl at this location (www.m-theoryaudio.com/store). SWORN ENEMY was first signed by Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta, who released the group’s first two EPs on his Stillborn Recordings label in 2001 and 2002. He also produced the band’s full-length debut, “As Real As It Gets,” memorably praised by Lambgoat as “music that inspires you to want to beat the living piss out of the next unsuspecting person who walks in the room.” The album was released by Elektra Records in 2003, a year that saw the band deliver memorable performances on tour with Ozzfest.

In the 15 years since, SWORN ENEMY released four additional albums of punishing metallic hardcore and toured with a number of notable acts, including Anthrax, Mastodon, Fear Factory, Sepultura, Suicide Silence, Dying Fetus, Earth Crisis, Madball, Biohazard and Hatebreed. The band expects to spend much of 2019 touring in support of “Gamechanger” as off-dates are being filled so watch for updates.
