THE OBELISK PREMIERES NEW DEAD QUIET MUSIC VIDEO “OF SOUND AND FURY” – WATCH!
Vancouver-based stoner metal torchbearers DEAD QUIET share new music video for “Of Sound and Fury” via The Obelisk. Watch the video HERE!
Kevin Keegan, Dead Quiet frontman and video director comments on the music video, “We wanted to do a performance-based video because we haven’t done one yet. Although the song itself isn’t political, we wanted to say something about the level of greed and disparity in wealth that’s only getting more pervasive, represented here in these classic stereotypes.”
The music video was edited by Rob Zawistowski, concept designed by Jason Dana and Art Direction done by Mitch Ray.
“Of Sound and Fury” comes off of the band’s album Truth and Ruin that was released in September of last year via Artoffact Records. The album delivers arena-ready, proto-metal bacchanal with power and flair. The band’s dramatic, organ-heavy songs are saturated with respect for the hard rock and heavy metal titans of the late ’70s and early ’80s – there are traces of blazing Deep Purple jams and hellbent Judas Priest bangers – but the band rocks with a prowess all its own. Dead Quiet respects its elders while fully owning its own craft. It is a fine balance, which brings to mind Ghost, among others.
The album was engineered and mixed by Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung) at Rain City Recorders in Vancouver, BC. It was mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Chelsea Wolfe) at West West Side Music in Hudson Valley, NY. It is available to listen and purchase HERE!
