The amazing story behind the track
The cool thing about LIKE A ZOMBIE is that Geoff had given me that riff a long time ago to write over.
I was struggling for a hook when my daughter Nevaeh and I were cutting through a cemetery after watching THE WALKING DEAD and she, out of nowhere, started saying,
“LIKE A ZOMBIE…LIKE A ZOMBIE!”, and I was like,
“Do that again!”
So she did…and I said,
“Wanna write a song with Dad?” Lmao.
She was only 6 at the time. Such a great memory. She nailed the hook at 6! The rest just came to me after that.
It sat around for a while and we finally recorded it. I love this track!
