YOSSI SASSI & THE ORIENTAL ROCK ORCHESTRA will release their new album “PreDiluvian” on March 13th, furthermore they have revealed the first single and video ‘Vision of Water’.

With his sixth album, PreDiluvian , Sassi goes back “before Mabool”, before the genesis flood. The new album, which will be released on 13.3.2023 worldwide, sends Sassi back to his signature-style electric
guitar rias, in a progressive Oriental Rock concept album, relating to the period in time chronicled between the fall of man and the genesis flood. History keeps repeating, as Sassi creates the proper framework to capture some of the essence of the current period in humanity and its similarities.

*prediluvian (plural prediluvians)
One who lived before the Flood; an antediluvian.*

“Prediluvian” album (previously code named ‘Chapter 6’), includes 12 new tracks, electric, acoustic & diverse.

In the new album, Sassi “drifted back” to his electric guitar, and it is full with loads of guitar riffs, alongside his unique blend of oriental progressive rock. 9 musicians with rich sound, East meets West,
Acoustic meets Electric. The album also features special guests, including the return of Haken’s talented vocalist Ross Jennings, who wrote lyrics and performs the vocals on ‘Armaros Fall’. Virtuoso pianist Uriel Herman also takes his place in selected tracks, to add special touches to the mixture.

The album’s title and concept relate to a period in time chronicled between the fall of man and the genesis flood. History just keeps repeating, and while writing and brainstorming, Sassi felt this would be a proper framework to gather various feelings and capture some of the essence of this current period in humanity.

In 2002 Sassi created the successful “Mabool” album and concept along with his brothers in “Orphaned Land” (released via Century Media in 2003), so it felt only natural to go back – before the flood. Playing and creating with time, and as usual, as the clocks keep melting…

The cover art, just like the musical routine, was an international and overseas experience.
