Born on the windswept western coast of Norway, the brainchild of vocalist Terje Singh Sidhu, Sinsid are the living embodiment of raw, powerful heavy metal. Infusing everything they do with their genuine, burning passion for metal music, the band have been honing their craft and sharpening their weapons of war for fourteen years, delivering magnificent live performances that live long in the memory and a triumvirate of albums, each one more impactful and uplifting than the last. The most recent full album release from Sinsid was 2022s In Victory, a collection of songs that received extensive critical acclaim from across the metal world; in Europe Soundmagnet declared the album an ‘epic work’ that ‘consistently distinguishes itself from the majority of old-school heavy metal’, while over in Australia Metal Roos hailed ‘a fiery romp of very heavy traditional metal’. Sinsid followed up the success of In Victory with two magnificent singles in 2024, both of which have paved the way for their latest triumph – their fourth album of indefatigable, undefeatable metal. Proud and defiant, All That Remains is set to raise the Sinsid banner high once again!
Opening with its title track, All That Remains shows immediately that Sinsid are operating at the peak of their powers – harder, heavier and more accomplished than ever before. Sharp, melodic riffs and emotion-laden vocals combine to deliver a song that instantly claims a place amongst the band’s finest recorded works. And incredibly Sinsid not only maintain those standards as the album unfolds, they seem to casually turn the dial, ramping up the power and the quality even higher! ‘Sarcophagus’ is fast and furious with a dark and sinister touch, an adrenaline-packed headbanger of a track, while the crunching guitars, galloping rhythms and anthemic chorus of ‘Running’ mark it out as a timeless classic. ‘Lawless Hunter’ is atmospheric and infectious, ‘Breaking All The Rules’ utterly irresistible and ‘Somewhere In The Dark’ could have stepped straight out of metal’s golden age. By the time you reach the ominous feast of steel that is the concluding ‘Lords Of The Northern Land’ the sheer stature and might of All That Remains has been carved in stone forever.
Mixed and mastered at Green Engine Recording with the respected Tom Poole-Kerr, who has worked with the likes of Evig Natt as well as on Sinsid’s own In Victory, All That Remains captures the essential essence of Sinsid. Every element of the band’s sound has its place in the spotlight, from the thundering rhythm section to the gritty riffs, the electrifying lead work to the distinctive, domineering vocals. Sinsid have never sounded better than they do on All That Remains and they have never delivered such a consistently fantastic selection of raw, honest and finely crafted metal anthems. Pitch Black Records, Sinsid’s stalwart supporters since their early days, will release All That Remains on July 10th, on LP, CD – complete with two exclusive bonus tracks – and digital formats, completed by the artwork of Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art (Flotsam & Jetsam, KK’s Priest, Tygers Of Pan Tang and many more metal luminaries).
With Sinsid summoning up albums like this, heavy metal will never die!
