Glora Nexus
A Grand Moment To Mortality
Bhumidhuka Productions (CD) and Harsh Productions (Cassette)

I would just like to say WOW. Just WOW. I am in awe of this band, this musician, Svarte; he is the sole
mastermind behind the band Glora Nexus which hails from Indonesia, and it is an impressive to say the
least.
The first song I listened to from the new album, A Grand Moment to Mortality, was “Death Omnipotent,
Death Omnipresent”; I was drawn to the name of the song. I was hooked the moment it started (putting
it on my “liked” song list on Spotify the moment I saw the band was on Spotify). Not only is the music
great, the vocals are great and the lyrics are beautiful and dark:
“Nothing will stop the path of death
Death lays beyond dawn with winds howling,
For we were meant to die, perish in the mist
drown with the sin”
As I listened to the song I googled the band to find out a little more information about them because I
was so fascinated by the music and vocals. That is how I came to learn the Svarte is the vocalist and only
musician for the band. Absolutely incredible, especially when you consider the tone, the richness, and
the wonderful technical ability heard displayed through the music alone.
After finishing this song, I listened to the whole EP on Spotify. Glora Nexus is simply brilliant. There
wasn’t a single thing about it that I disliked about the 5 track EP from beginning to end. “Verboten
Vibes” and “Hear the Call” are just as great as “Death Omnipotent, Death Omnipresent”, his talents
displayed throughout both of those songs as well. “Verboten Vibes” has a haunting video which can be
seen at the link below:
The intro “Into Majestic Negativity” and outro “For Mourning Non-Existence Worship” are both
instrumentals that lull you into and out of the EP in a captivating manner.
My overall rating for this EP would be a 10 out of 10. It was an easy choice for me to add them to my list
of frequent listens.
