KILLSCYTHE are a up and coming thrash metal band based in the gateway to the highlands – Perth, Scotland.
Taking full advantage of being located in a country full of deep history, each song possesses lyrical themes, reminiscent of their home and beyond. Whether that’s delving into the blood soaked pages of Ancient history, tales of betrayal and vengeance or presenting a tale on the mythos of H.P Lovecraft. Each song is a siege weapon crafted to smash through silence and summon chaos.
The debut self titled EP featuring two singles ‘Byzantium Burning’ and ‘Dreaming A Darker Dimension’ are out today the 20th June 2025 on all streaming services and set the foundation and vision for what lies ahead
‘Byzantium Burning’ tells the tale of the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire and the unstoppable rise of the Ottoman Empire. Told through three distinct voices— a humble citizen of Constantinople, the resolute Emperor Constantine XI, and the ambitious Sultan Mehmed II, each verse offers a unique perspective on the siege, the struggle, and the legacy of a civilization in its final hours.
‘Dreaming a Darker Dimension’ is a descent into classic Lovecraftian horror. A clandestine cult gathers beneath the veil of night, intent on summoning none other than the cosmic gatekeeper, Yog-Sothoth, to beg for forbidden knowledge. But as the ritual unfolds, reality begins to warp… and something goes terribly, irreversibly wrong…

About KillScythe
Created in 2025 by lead guitarist and principal song writer Andrew with one goal in mind to create music that’s infectiously catchy, furious, and most importantly memorable.
Recruiting members from his previous bands Blackened Ritual and Ifreann, he has assembled a regiment of warlords that are ready to treat every crowd a kingdom to be claimed and conquered.
To fight along side him with his 6 string axe, we have Allan, beating on the battle drums with ferocious intent is Franny, providing earth shattering low end is Matthew and screaming like a banshee in the night is Ian.
