Infiltrating the vanguard of heavy music with an uncanny and unpredictable sound like no other, acclaimed Nashville-based sonic alchemist SHOWING TEETH presents her much-anticipated debut EP, A FATE WORSE THAN LONELINESS, out now via Republic Records + Spinefarm. In tandem with the project, she opened up an online store and uncovered her first-ever official merch drop, featuring a “Bad Exchanges” camo hat, Labyrinth longsleeve shirt, and CD version of A FATE WORSE THAN LONELINESS — available here.
To celebrate the EP’s arrival, she also served up the music video for the new single “Make It Out” today. The clip captures the uncontrolled energy of this disarmingly catchy anthem with gritty footage and an appropriately claustrophobic performance. Watch it here.
Musically, the track’s glitchy riff slips into a buoyant palm-muted groove, while airy keys carry the verses. Boosted by alternately crunching and chugging distortion, SHOWING TEETH translates anxiety into a transfixing refrain as she accepts, “Maybe it’s too late to pick me up…I’ll throw myself back down….Even up to now, I’ll tell myself, ‘You’ll never make it out’.”
Amplifying her internal struggle aloud without shame, she fearlessly wrestles with self-defeat on the hook and pushes through with honesty and heart intact.

Earning acclaim, Revolver hailed it as “a series of noise-tastic riff swerves, ground-unsettling gravity blasts, deliciously disjointed sound effects and, of course, the ultra-violent screams and squeals of project leader and vocalist Addison.” Metal Hammer named it one of “The 12 Best New Metal Songs You Need To Hear Right Now,” going on to profess, “Maybe it’s the frequent blast-beats, or the shrieking, grindcore like screeches, but the Nashville artist really nails a sense of frenzied mania.”
The EP also boasts “Rip,” which has amassed over 1 million streams and counting thus far. Revolver touted it among the “6 Best New Songs Right Now,” raving: “Beyond that textual heaviness, SHOWING TEETH goes next level berserk with her feral shrieks.”
This fall, she will hit the road as support to President on the band’s sold-out North American Campaign 2026 for six weeks across North America. This run commences on September 4 in Nashville, TN at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, visits major markets coast-to-coast, and closes out on October 14 in Dallas, TX at House of Blues Dallas. ABOUT SHOWING TEETH:
Showing Teeth sonically taps into nature’s feral side. Within the span of a song, the Kentucky-born and Tennessee-based heavy music disruptor will alternate between guttural growls and anesthetizing melodies with primal unpredictability. Complemented by a “Southern American Gothic” aesthetic, she cuts a path out of the countryside’s darkest corners and reaches towering peaks of catharsis, unraveling self-doubt, alienation, and isolation against a soundtrack that crushes as it caresses. As a kid, she discovered heavy music in the most unexpected place: Church camp. Around the same time, she picked up a bass guitar, drawing inspiration from Bootsy Collins and virtuosos a la Victor Wooten. Post-college, she balanced a day job with making music “for fun.” During 2023, she launched her TikTok page. An early post about heavy music went viral, and she continued to share clips of her practicing vocals and recording demos (often captured in the front seat of her Honda Accord). Settling in Nashville, she started to collaborate with producer Dan Book, multi-instrumentalist Zach Munowitz, and Periphery drummer and co-founder Matt Halpern. In late 2025, she dropped “Labyrinth,” and it left an atomic imprint on the scene, generating north of 2.1 million Spotify streams and bulldozing the way for 2026’s “Rip” From there, she attracted both Spinefarm and Republic Records to her corner in an unprecedented alliance. Bring Me The Horizon welcomed her as an opener in Manchester, she appeared on stage with Motionless In White, and President selected her to open his sold-out 2026 tour. Clawing her way into the light now, this extreme music alchemist formally introduces herself with her debut EP, A FATE WORSE THAN LONELINESS [Republic Records/Spinefarm].
