SILO release new single ‘Ill Intent’
New album, ‘Haze’, due out May 1st via Easy Life Records

Born on the Isle of Man, Silo exist in a place where time moves slowly and expectations rarely stretch beyond the horizon. Removed from traditional scenes, circuits and cultural centres, the band have been shaped by stillness and distance. Rather than waiting for opportunity to arrive, Silo turned inward, using isolation as fuel to carve out a sound that is confrontational, melodic and deeply human.
Today, just one day after being announced for 2000 Trees Festival 2026, Silo sharpen their edge with new single, ‘Ill Intent’, a defiant statement rooted in self belief, clarity and resistance. Fusing post hardcore urgency with modern alternative weight, the track pushes back against manipulation and falsehoods, its lyrics grounded in freedom, resilience and inner strength.
‘Ill Intent’ is the second single to be lifted from Silo’s debut record, ‘Haze’, due for release on May 1st via their new label home Easy Life Records (Softcult, Normandie and Lonely The Brave). Following album announcement single ‘Crawl In A Bottle’, the new track reveals another facet of the band’s emotional depth, born from frustration and anger yet delivered with precision and purpose.
Talking of the new single, Silo share, “Ill Intent pushes back against manipulation and false truths, echoing lyrics rooted in freedom, resilience and inner strength. It’s a confrontational track that speaks directly to an antagonistic presence. It is part warning, part plea, offering advice while drawing a clear line.”
‘Haze’ is Silo’s debut album and a document of internal collapse, survival and uneasy acceptance. Written collectively in the room rather than assembled in isolation, the record captures moments as they happen, instinct over refinement, emotion over perfection. Across thirteen tracks, the album traces cycles of addiction, disillusionment, therapy, love, loss and identity, never offering easy resolution, only honesty.
Recorded over seven days at The Ranch Production House with Kel Pinchin (Split Chain, Thornhill, As It Is), ‘Haze’ retains a raw immediacy that mirrors Silo’s live intensity. Thick, distorted guitars collide with melodic undercurrents, moments of aggression sit beside restraint and tension exists without release. It is music designed to be felt as much as heard, physical without losing emotional depth.
Emerging from isolation with purpose, Silo are not chasing trends or scenes. Haze is the sound of a band pushing outward from a quiet place, refusing to soften the edges and finding clarity inside the noise.
