XMusic is proud to welcome Brisbane’s SLYTHR to its ever-growing roster of incredible Australian artists. The young rockers have come out all guns blazing on their XMusic debut with the release of their explosive new single Hold Me Down.

Written by vocalist Amy-Lee Lidgard and guitarist Harrison Shield, Hold Me Down explores the frustrations of growing up, fighting for independence and refusing to let others dictate who you are or who you want to become. The track signals a heavier, more aggressive direction for the band and offers the first taste of a new EP scheduled for release in 2027.

Formed in 2022, SLYTHR have been steadily making their mark on the Australian rock scene with their raw and energetic live performances. Having already shared stages with the likes of Bodyjar, Dead City Ruins and These Four Walls, the band recently delivered a standout performance at the BIGSOUND XMusic Showcase.

XMusic CEO Tim McLean says, “XMusic welcomes SLYTHR to the family! It’s great to see and hear such amazing young talent. Their raw live shows will captivate you from the opening song right through to the finish. And this is just the start!”

With new music on the way and more shows on the horizon, SLYTHR aren’t wasting any time. They’ll join legendary US rockers Enuff Z’Nuff and Pretty Boy Floyd in Brisbane this Sunday!
