Brazilian symphonic metal act Soulwitch continues to expand its presence within the national scene with the official screening of their music video for “Beltane” at the renowned Roadie Crew Online Fest—one of Brazil’s leading digital festivals dedicated to heavy music. The feature further amplifies the momentum surrounding the band’s debut album Principium (2024), a release that firmly established Soulwitch’s identity within the symphonic metal landscape.

Hailing from Curitiba, Soulwitch has been gaining attention for its distinctive blend of heavy riffs, orchestral arrangements, and a strong conceptual foundation rooted in spirituality, occultism, magic, and symbolism. Their sound resonates with fans of,, and, merging cinematic atmospheres with memorable melodies and expressive vocals.

The current lineup features Maria Sliviany (vocals), Jack Vanderbrook (keyboards), Luan Lopes (guitars), Sérgio Santos (bass), and Roberto Wagner (drums). The band’s sonic approach bridges symphonic metal with classical influences, delivering an immersive and atmospheric experience.

Frontwoman Maria Sliviany, who also handles all lyrics and artistic direction, explains that “Beltane” draws inspiration from the ancient pagan festival of the same name, exploring love through a timeless and spiritual lens—fully aligned with the overarching concept of Principium. The album delves into themes such as spirituality, occultism, love, death, rebirth, and the transformation of consciousness, guided by hermetic principles and brought to life through epic arrangements, powerful choruses, and refined production.
