Emerging from their slumber, Tampere-based Erase This Earth is releasing a single from their upcoming concept EP
The Finnish death metal band Erase This Earth are set to release a new EP ‘Horror Unearthed’ on October 15th 2026 via Inverse Records. The first and only single ‘The Walls Are Alive’ is out today and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/erase-this-earth-the-walls

“The track “The Walls Are Alive” was chosen as the single for its distinctiveness, length, and impact — and because its lyrics best encapsulate the ultimate spirit of the record. The whole still matters most, and the upcoming EP tells the full story so far – Antarctica remains relatively unknown…”
Biography:
Erase This Earth is a death metal group from Tampere, Finland est. 2017. The band was born when the guitarist and primary songwriter Mikko Niskanen invited mutual long-time friends Heikki Mäki (vocals) and Antti Ohtonen (guitar), and decided to form a band as an outlet for their heavier riff ideas. Following some years of playing more casually and getting a full-time drummer Matias Rokio onboard, a proper production was started at 2021 with the release of debut single ‘In Their Name’. Right after their first release, ETE played their first gig and completed the lineup with Janne Pihlajaniemi (bass). The band’s first EP ‘Signs’ was released in the spring of 2022 and was followed with a single release ‘Out of Time’ that has enjoyed some attention even internationally.
Musically, Erase This Earth combines the elements of melodic death metal with a hint of tech and progressive styles that mirror the main composers’ personal preferences and musical backgrounds. This keeps the discography fairly diverse with songs ranging from straight warp-speed barrages to more progressive works such as ‘Signs’.
