“ALL THE PRETTY FLOWERS’ OUT MAY 23 VIA ARTOFFACT RECORDS – PRE-ORDER HERE

Los Angeles-based post-punk outfit The Discussion, the brainchild of Laura Pleasants (KYLESA), continues its run of somber, spectral singles with “In Death and Life”, out now via Artoffact Records.

“In Death and Life” delivers a stark, hypnotic reflection on solitude, survival, and the quiet violence of everyday existence. With lyrics that echo like a mantra—“I walk alone / in death and life”—the track captures the weight of emotional isolation through pulsing synths, haunting repetition, and a rhythm that feels like a slow, inevitable march through memory and despair

The track follows the release of synthetic lullaby “Get To You” and slow-burn, trance-inducing “Blue Light”.

With a relentless touring schedule planned for 2025, The Discussion is building something bigger than just a series of releases—it’s a growing, immersive sonic world. Step inside.
