Fresh from a run of standout UK live dates, including appearances at The Great Escape and Dot To Dot Festival, a support tour with The Lottery Winners, and their debut headline UK shows, The Tullamarines return with powerful new single ‘Flight Path’ – the first taste of an exciting new chapter for the hotly tipped Australian indie four-piece.

Honest, vulnerable and emotionally charged, the track delves into the quiet battles that often go unseen, transforming creative burnout, self-doubt and the overwhelming urge to retreat from the world into one of the band’s most affecting releases to date.

Speaking on the new single, Ben Waltho shares, “Flight Path is first and foremost about writer’s block, but it’s framed in a few different ways. It’s actually the product of two very different demos that were merged in an effort to relieve a particularly long stretch of non-writing. This song is about so many things; losing confidence as you grow up, wanting to go home and hide from the world, struggling to be honest. It’s a very troubling mosaic of thoughts and feelings that bubble away in the background of life, coming to the surface all at once.”

Recently off a landmark twelve months, The Tullamarines have rapidly emerged as one of Australia’s most exciting indie exports. Following the release of their acclaimed sophomore EP Safety Blanket, the band has taken their high energy live show across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, performing at SXSWThe Great EscapeDot To DotImmergut FestivalHyperfest and A Day In The Gully. They also joined The Lottery Winners on tour across the UK, completed their own UK headline run and recently returned home supporting The Jungle Giants throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The momentum has extended well beyond the stage. “Running On Empty” received full triple j rotation, became triple j’s most played track and landed at #91 in the 2026 triple j Hottest 100, while “Idiot” also secured full triple j rotation and was featured in EA’s Skate. The band reached another career milestone with their triple j Like A Version debut in June, while Safety Blanket earned a nomination for Best Independent Pop EP or Album at the 2026 AIR Awards. Their growing audience has also been fuelled by editorial support across Spotify’s Fresh Finds AU & NZ, New Music Friday AU & NZ, Turn Up Aus and Indie Arrivals, alongside Apple Music’s Amped Up and Good Times.

With booking representation now spanning the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Canada, and a rapidly growing international audience, The Tullamarines continue to cement themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting live exports. ‘Flight Path’ signals the beginning of an exciting new era ahead of the band’s national headline tour this November, with more new music set to follow.
