Timeless Rage
My Kingdom Come
Label: Metalapolis Records
Out: 27th March 2026
Playing time: 45:52

Although Timeless Rage were formed back in 2012, ‘My Kingdom Come’ is only the second studio album by the band from Villingen-Schwenningen (Baden-Württemberg). However, the Encyclopaedia Metallum shows that the band obviously took a two-year break. One year after its founding, the EP ‘Forecast’ was released. Another nine years passed before the debut album “Untold” was released. The press release speaks of an ‘unmistakable blend of catchy Power Metal, detailed Melodic Metal, symphonic influences and dark, mystical timbres’.

The album kicks off with the title track ‘My Kingdom Come’, a grand Metal anthem. Newcomer Nicolaj Ruhnow impresses with his powerful and clear vocals. ‘The Seed Of Fear’ follows as the next anthem, featuring several symphonic elements. Towards the end, guitar and keyboard briefly dominate. ‘The Devil’s Masquerade’ is a catchy Power Metal song. Drummer Klaus Buchfink steps on the gas pedal. ‘Conquistadores’ starts with battle noises. Later, a stomping rhythm and many keyboard passages take over. The crowning glory is a calm and melodic guitar solo in the middle section. The vocals in ‘Moonbite Serenade’ sound very pathetic. Stomping drums are accompanied by Anna Keil’s keyboard carpets. ‘A Vampire’s Legacy’ is introduced by clear guitars and spoken words. Then double bass and keyboards whip ahead. ‘Regrets’ is a short ballad-like interlude. The vocals, which vary between high and low pitches, are accompanied only by acoustic guitars. This is followed by ‘The Enemy Is You’, the next anthem, driven by drums and keyboards. At the beginning of ‘We All Shall Fall’, you initially think you’re listening to a power ballad. But then the tempo picks up. So, it’s forceful Power Metal instead of a power ballad. The closing song, ‘The Pale Death’, also goes in this direction.

With ‘My Kingdom Come’, Timeless Rage have produced a very good Metal album. I fully agree with the description of the sound in the press release. The listener is captivated by the fresh sound from the beginning to the end.
