Frontman Connor Grant describes PREY as a direct response to the digital stranglehold of big tech and social media manipulation:
“PREY came about from the frustration of ‘online’ culture. Everything is fabricated, and we are fed to believe whatever narrative is being presented. The algorithm keeps us locked into our phones, doomscrolling endlessly in a sea of ridiculous bullshit. These companies have created a new addiction, ruining our mental health while we can’t turn away. We are prey to our technology. We are prey to the algorithms.”
Blending crushing riffs, and raw, unfiltered rage, PREY channels the dystopian paranoia of industrial legends like Nine Inch Nails, Front Line Assembly, 3TEETH, and Ministry, while cutting its own path through the noise of modern metal.
