The project MIDAEV, founded in 2023 in the UAE, has released a new single titled “Return My Joy.” Unlike previous releases, this track leans into a gothic rock aesthetic, creating an atmosphere steeped in dark beauty and deep emotion.
“Return My Joy” tells a story of inner struggle, pain, and the quest to reclaim lost happiness. The protagonist—lost and broken—seeks the light to heal his heart, and through pain, discovers inner strength. The track explores how difficult it is to hold onto what’s dear when you’re alone, yet emphasizes the importance of perseverance in finding oneself and rediscovering joy. It’s an anthem of resilience, reminding listeners that even in the darkest times, there’s always a spark of light, and like a mythical phoenix, we can rise from the ashes.
“This song is very dear to us. It’s about how vital it is to hold on to hope, even when it feels like everything is falling apart. We want every listener to know they’re not alone in their struggles,” shares Ruslan Midaev.
The new single is one of the first steps toward the full-length album that MIDAEV is set to release in 2025.
