What was the beginning pint for your music career? How did it all start?
Hi guys! Well, it all started when the singer of a previous band with which Marco Plesnicar (bass) and Vincenzo Reina (guitar and voices) were playing, left. So they met Enrico Goti (voice and guitars) and started a new project. Having troubled times finding a drum player Enrico brought in Marco Bertoli and so we finally could kick off in earnest.
Was there any bumps on the road? What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?
Many, many bumps. Let’s say that the biggest challenge has always been finding venues that would let us play our own music. The scene here in Trieste is packed with cover bands and patrons tend to stick to the sure thing. So, that’s been the main issue so far.
What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?
Recording our first album! It’s been a journey into the depths of music, mostly thanks to the guys that run the Jork Studios, Jadran and Gabriel Ogrin, where we had the fortunate chance to do it. Every recording session has been like taking a master class in every field of recording from the best way to arrange a song to the pure sound. Just amazing.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
It’s very emotional.. since we don’t really embrace a specific genre the music really follows what we’re trying to express and so in the same song you have a blending of many influences.
What is your creative process like?
Well, we all write songs so there isn’t a straightforward path. Usually someone will play the idea at rehearsals and the song is developed with a common effort. Often the final result is quite different from the original idea and that’s good because it’s mostly more fulfilling.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Wow, hell of a question! We really don’t know, it’s such a complicated world that finding an answer requires more brains that we have!
If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?
We know this answer is lame but.. practice a lot! Both individually and as a band. Be sure of your stuff and don’t take a gig just for the sake of it. Be really confident in your music before going live.. it also helps with stage panic!
What has been the best performance of your career so far?
Recently we played in a small club here in Trieste and the crowd reacted very, very well! We mean they went bonkers! So it has to be the one.
If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing now?
We’re afraid that there never was a plan B.. music is and has always been our life!
What is new with the band at the moment? What are you currently working on and would like to share with the world?
Well, first of all after the four singles that we released (The Brighter Side, Fire Dancer, Life, Police of the Soul) the full album is due to come out next Fall. At the same time we are preparing the gigs related to it hoping that we will play all around Europe.
