VANISHING POINT
Australia’s Melodic Metal Masters Release New Single, Sirens
New Album, Eremition, Arrives November 20

After leaving jaws on the floor last month with the release of, Bring Me The Night, their first new music in six years, one of Australia’s most respected melodic metal band, Vanishing Point have returned with the immaculate, Sirens.
Long term guitarist Chris Porcianko says of the song, “Lyrically, it’s about the downfall of humanity, wherein we are very much alive with technology, yet at the same time our morality lies dormant and deteriorates”
“We have all this information flooding our short attention spans, we are run by a world of fools, and we aren’t looking out for each other as much as we once did. We are all somewhat oblivious to our own decline with many things, whether it be physical, spiritual, or ethical’
“Sirens continues where Dead Elysium left off, they are both connected”

Six years after Dead Elysium marked their triumphant return following another lengthy absence, Vanishing Point are back. Their seventh studio album, Eremition, will be released worldwide on November 20,
On Eremition and the long wait between drinks, Porcianko adds,“for us as a band, it’s always been quality over quantity. When the quality is there, that’s when it’s the right time to put it out into the world. We feel we owe it to ourselves and to our fans everywhere to bring something truly special to light, something that sits perfectly within the long legacy that Vanishing Point has.
Eremition is in many ways an album about loss, gain, realisation, understanding, letting go, and moving forward without holding onto the negative energies that sometimes complicate our lives. We hope that these songs bring a little solace and connection to all our incredible fans out there.”
For longtime fans, new Vanishing Point music carries a particular weight. Three decades into their career, the band have never flooded the market or chased release cycles for the sake of remaining visible. Instead, each chapter has been allowed to arrive in its own time. The result is a catalogue that has earned Vanishing Point a reputation extending far beyond Australia.
Across six albums since their 1997 debut In Thought, Vanishing Point have carved out their own space within melodic metal: huge melodies, soaring vocals, heavy guitars, cinematic atmosphere and songs carrying an unmistakable emotional weight.
It is a sound that has taken the Melbourne band around the world, touring throughout Europe and Japan, performing in the USA and sharing stages with Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Dragonforce and many more.
They also became the first unsigned Australian band to perform at Wacken Open Air, long before Australian heavy music enjoyed the international profile it does today.
Yet perhaps the most remarkable thing about Vanishing Point in 2026 isn’t simply that they’re still here. It’s that there is still an audience waiting when they return. For the fans who discovered the band through In Thought, Tangled In Dream, Embrace The Silence or The Fourth Season, a new Vanishing Point album reconnects them with a band that has been part of Australian metal for decades. For those who arrived through Distant Is The Sun or Dead Elysium, the wait for another chapter is finally over.
More than three decades after Vanishing Point formed in Melbourne, Eremition isn’t about looking backwards. It’s about reminding the world that Vanishing Point are still one of the finest melodic metal bands Australia has ever produced.
And once again, they’ve made the wait worthwhile.

Eremition will be released on November 20
