White Tyger is a band that refuse to be restrained musically or physically…and you will most likely see them atop the bar!

But let’s be objective. White Tygër are an energetic Rock/Metal band from the United Kingdom. Founded in 2015 as a tribute band for genre giants such as AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Mötley Crüe and others. However, the musicians soon began writing their own songs. The debut album ‘This Is The Life’ was released in 2022 and was obviously a success. Inspired by this, work began on the follow-up ‘Back Of The Class’. Shortly after the album was released in December 2024, drummer Jack Ryland Smith left the band for family reasons.

‘Almost Home’ is great and melodic Hard Rock. With skilful twin guitar runs. Singer Nip Turner has a recognisable Rock voice. He is supported by the ‘band choir’ on the catchy refrains. And, of course, the guitarists bang out strong solos. The rhythmic stomps on ‘Drown’ are lively. With ‘Vanilla Circus’, the band then moves into high-speed territory. Once again, catchy choruses can be heard in the refrain. Plus, an insane guitar solo. ‘Instafine’ sounds calm, and blues influenced. Nip puts a lot of feeling into his vocals. The guitar solo also creates a powerful Blues atmosphere. As the title suggests, ‘Dog House Blues’ also has a Blues flavour. Fine, authentic Rhythm and Blues. And it remains calm. ‘Starlight’ is a contemplative (power) ballad. The bouncer ‘Fire’ is the shortest and also the fastest song on the album. A real riff-driven par force ride.

White Tygër have released a strong second album. Hard Rock, Speed Rock/Metal, Blues and a beautiful ballad provide plenty of variety. Pure and handmade. I can well imagine that live shows are very sweaty things.
