São Paulo, Brazil – Ace Fantasy is proud to announce the release of their debut single, “Fantasy,” a dynamic fusion of melody and nostalgia that promises to captivate listeners worldwide.
Fronted by the versatile Brazilian singer and songwriter Lean Van Ranna, known for his powerful and melodic voice, Ace Fantasy is set to make a significant impact in the music scene. Lean’s vocal prowess has drawn comparisons to legendary metal icons such as André Matos (ex-Angra, ex-Shaman) and Max Cavalera (ex-Sepultura, Soulfly). With an extensive range of styles under his belt, including AOR, Hard Rock, Power Metal, Modern Metal, Heavy Metal, Symphonic Power Metal, Synthpop, and heavier influences from Thrash and Death Metal, Lean is now embarking on an exciting new chapter.
Joining forces with Tiago James, a talented musician and multi-instrumentalist based in California, Lean is bringing to life the innovative project Ace Fantasy. Tiago James adds a wealth of experience, having collaborated with music legends like Dale & Troy Thompson (Bride), Oz Fox (Stryper), Eduardo Ardanuy (ex-Dr. Sin), and many others.
Ace Fantasy is set to revolutionize the current AOR landscape, drawing inspiration from the impactful sound of The Night Flight Orchestra — a band featuring members of the renowned Melodic Death Metal group Soilwork. The project delivers an ultra-melodic, nostalgic, and emotionally charged Hi-Tech AOR, with progressive influences reminiscent of 80s movie soundtracks and artists like Toto, Journey, Bryan Adams, Genesis, and Yes.
