RESOLVE SHARE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “SANDMAN” — WATCH
TAKEN FROM THEIR UPCOMING DELUXE ALBUM HUMAN (EXTENDED CUT)

French Metalcore quartet Resolve have today released the video for the new single “Sandman” — taken from their forthcoming Human (Extended Cut) deluxe edition, due for release on October 25 via Arising Empire.

Following Resolve’s recent earth shaking single “Molotov,” which opened up their extended cut cycle in relentless fashion,”Sandman” showcases both Resolve’s haunting nature with its heavy and oppressive intro as well as their trademark emotive characters, running throughout its infectious chorus.

“Some months ago, Anthony (Resolve lead singer and songwriter) went through an episode of sleep paralysis. If you’re lucky enough to have never experienced it, imagine waking up in the dead of night with a terrifying figure looking over you, and being unable to move or ask for help,” mentions Resolve bassist Robin Mariat. “The next day, Anthony came up with the demo for ‘Sandman’ — originally named ‘Sleep Paralysis.’ That probably explains the nightmarish vibe of the track. The choruses though, are epic and hopeful, a reminder that even in the darkest moments of our lives, there will always be something or someone to lift us up and bring us back into the light.”

Stream, purchase Human (Extended  Cut) now as limited colored vinyl or CD at the Arising Empire Shop.

“Human shows just how talented these guys are when they’re stuck in a room together. Combining atmospheric synths and djent-filled riffs, this orgy of brutality will leave you gurning and wanting more upon completion” — Wall of Sound

Building upon a world shaped by the original version, the Human (Extended Cut) will included the new single “Sandman,” the recent single “Molotov,” more brand-new music, “The Fire, The Aftermath, The Everlasting” live performance and the original set of tracks from the album.

“This is a new form of release for us, which is very exciting,” Mariat continues. “We get to build up on the world that we shaped for Human, and these new tracks are the continuation of the story. These new tracks definitely have something for everyone, whether you like the heavier side of Resolve, or if you are more into our melodic capabilities.”

“The only thing we can ask for is for people to listen through the whole record (Human), because if there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s that this album has something for everyone, even people that may be far removed from metal,” shares Mariat when talking about their sophomore album  a record that saw their single “Older Days” featuring Paleface Swiss and Ten56 go viral and surpass over 3.6 million streams to date.

Ever since their public reveal in February 2017 with the debut single “Exposed,” the quartet has been eager to show their peers that they won’t settle for anything but greatness. Also, Resolve have opened shows for Architects, Every Time I Die, While She Sleeps, Underoath, ERRA and more.
