“The Odyssey” is the title of the new single released by alternative metal duo “ CRYOSPHERE”.
It is a tale of two separate minds melding together, wrapped in the tale of the giant Antaeus and the lesser known siren Agliopé.
Taking reference to the old greek mythology, CRYOSPHERE tell the story of two people coming from different worlds and somehow prevail together, despite being cast into a sea of turmoil.
Cryosphere is a metal duo from Denmark with a focus on creating music that seamlessly explores a huge range of styles.
The single was mixing and mastering by Frederik Dinesen, an up and coming danish mix-engineer, who did an excellent job at helping the duo with their vision.
The music is incredibly powerful and direct and is CRYOSPHERE’s heaviest release yet. Luring you in, Sirene manages to shift between velvety soft vocals and harsh screeching, underlined by Anders’ hard-hitting harsh vocals.
As a result “The Odyssey” is incredibly heavy and in-your-face, paint the picture of nuance, which has become the duo’s speciality and trademark.
