Ho, Ho, Ho…. The Holiday Season is here and all is Metal and bright!
In the spirit of tradition, Corners of Sanctuary (COS) have again unwrapped an all new, original track to celebrate this year’s Yuletide carousing with the single “Christmas Fairytale,” available now through SODEH Records. This latest holiday installment, which is included on the digital EP A Naughty & Nice Merry Metal Xmas XI, stands as the bands twelfth holiday release and is part of COS’ annual Merry Metal Xmas mission. “It’s that time of the year again…a Merry Metal Xmas,” says COS guitarist and founder Mick Michaels. “It’s always a special time for us. We just love doing these songs and spreading a little extra holiday COS cheer.”
This year’s Metal merriment delivery contains a naughty and nice twist to it.
To compliment the “Christmas Fairytale” nice side, the band has also included a cover of Black Sabbath’s classic song, “Paranoid,” adding a bit of naughty to things. A music video for “Paranoid” drops December 13th.
“This year we thought we’d try something different,” said Michaels. “It’s the silly season and it’s all in fun.”
COS has been in the studio finishing a new EP, Forever Metal, which is slated to drop February 9, 2025. CD pre-ordering begins on January 7th.
With the New Year right around the corner, a biography on Corners of Sanctuary is also set to release to coincide the tenth anniversary of the release of the band’s 2015 album, Metal Machine. The biography will be available through March Baby Media and Scream Bloody Books. To further commemorate, Metal Machine will also see a CD reissue which will include updated and newly re-mastered tracks.
Additionally, the band is also working on setting up CD re-releases for their first two albums, 2012’s Breakout and 2013’s Harlequin. Both albums, which are currently unavailable, will contain new recordings featuring the current lineup, and the latter will include a mini-comic book, showcasing the album’s original concept storyline.
“Christmas Fairytale” and “Paranoid” are now available as a standalone digital EP release through SODEH Records. Listeners can stream the tracks on all major platforms.
