Strike Master ‘A Corpseless Soul’ Single

Album Review By Adam McCann

Independent Release/Thrash Metal

Strike Master have always been good at holding their own, flying the flag high for Mexican thrash metal worldwide for the last thirteen years with their enjoyable albums ‘Up For The Massacre’, ‘Majestic Strike’ and ‘U.F.T.M. amongst others. This year has the Mexican thrashers return with their upcoming EP ‘Death Based Illusions’ and in preparation Striker Master have released the single ‘A Corpseless Soul’.

This track picks up exactly where Strike Master left off in 2017 with their last self-titled release; ‘A Corpseless Soul’ is a savagely raw piece of primal thrash metal that shows the integrity and honesty that runs throughout this band, driving forward with all the gusto of Dark Angel, Demolition Hammer and Morbid Saint. Yet, there is that touch of Latin American prowess here too with a biting undercurrent that nods to Commando, Venemous and even Violator and Disaster.

Although it is well worn ground which Strike Master are treading, ‘A Corpseless Soul’ is still enjoyable and it sets the stage nicely for the release of ‘Death Based Illusions’ in the very near future.
