Reveal is a Spanish Metal band, founded by guitarist Tino Hevia. When exactly remains a mystery. The band’s debut album “Timeline” was released in 2017. As singer, Hevia was able to recruit Rob Lundgren from Sweden, with whom he had previously worked on various projects. After ‘Overlord’ (2019) and ‘Still Alive’ (2023), the EP ‘The Age Of Knowledge’ will now follow in October.

Rhythmic and melodic, that’s how ‘Am I The Evil’ starts. And it stays that way. Rob Lundgren shows what an outstanding singer he is. Fine Melodic Rock, with an amazing twin guitar solo. In ‘Heaven And Hell’, the tempo and heaviness are increased somewhat, but without leaving the melodic area. The chorus is easy to sing along to. The singer also strikes a somewhat rougher note in places. And so it continues, both “It’s My Time” and “Living With The Pain” are anthemic Power Metal songs. The two guitarists repeatedly emphasise their skills. And are kept in rhythm by drums and bass. At times the double bass drives them on. The title track ‘The Age Of Knowledge’ closes the EP. The start sounds a little unwieldy, both the guitars and the vocals. This is the fastest and heaviest song on the EP.

On “The Age Of Knowledge”, the Spaniards present well-crafted Rock and Power Metal. Rob Lundgren, the Swedish spearhead on the microphone, ennobles every single song with his vocals. His bandmates provide a powerful and clear sound. The song-orientated use of keyboards is pleasant to listen to. No Rock or Metal fan should miss out on this EP.
