Unchosen Ones
Divine Power Flowing
Label: Blood Fire Death
Out: 13th February 2026
Playing time: 43:54

Unchosen Ones hail from the Galician city of Vigo (Spain) and were formed in 2020. They have released two EPs and one album to date. However, it has been almost three years since their debut album. But the wait will come to an end in February with the release of their follow-up, ‘Divine Power Flowing’.

The album kicks off with the Metal anthem ‘Idols And Kings’. Stomping drums and guitar melodies characterise the song. A powerful guitar solo can be heard. And it continues in the same vein with ‘The Void’. The vocals are catchy and driven by occasional double bass. The chorus is easy to sing along to. Guitar solo? Of course, that’s a must. It’s one thing after another – ‘Cursed Without A Cause’ is the next Metal anthem, this time characterised by keyboards, underpinned by hard riffs.  It continues at high speed. In ‘Whirligig Saw’, keyboards and guitars compete once again, not only musically, but also in terms of tempo. The vocals sound a little rougher in places. ‘Caught By The Wind’ is a riff- and drum-driven tour de force. ‘Divine Power Flowing’ is another Metal anthem. Water splashes at the beginning of ‘Synthetic Wave Horizon’ before clear guitar melodies kick in. But the calm is quickly over. The drums boom and the melodic guitars pick up speed. On ‘Midnight Mass’, the riffs rush ahead. The album concludes with ‘Death And Deliverance’, another Metal powerhouse with several high-speed passages.

On ‘Divine Power Flowing’, the Spanish band Unchosen Ones don’t allow themselves any respite. And so, there’s no time for the listener to catch their breath either. With hymns and Metal songs, some of which are performed at high speed, there’s plenty of variety. Each song is further enhanced by great guitar solos. And the keyboards repeatedly provide plenty of epic moments. Fans of Firewind, Orden Ogan, Rage, Nocturnal Rites or even Kamelot will get their money’s worth here.
