Thomas Carlsen’s Transmission is a heavy metal project by Norwegian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Thomas Carlsen.
The music is rooted in 80s-style rock and metal, inspired by bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Queensrÿche. It is a solo project, where Carlsen is the sole songwriter and instrumentalist.

On August 20, 2021, his debut EP “Redemption” was released on all streaming platforms, and in limited physical formats.
It contains four original tracks, and a cover version of Iron Maiden’s 1983 classic, “Still Life”. The music was recorded at Carlsen’s home studio, and some of the compositions date back almost ten years.

For the EP, Carlsen recruited fellow Norwegian Marius Danielsen, from the power metal band Legend of Valley Doom, to record vocals, as well as mixing and mastering duties. The result is a collection of hard-hitting, head-banging heavy metal tunes which hearken back to the glory of the Mid-80s scene.

Track listing:
1. Cloudbursting
2. Redemption
3. Fallen from Grace
4. Still Life
5. Hard Line
