What was the beginning pint for your music career? How did it all start?
Dyvan: Hello readers! EPITOME was created quite a long time ago, exactly 30 years ago! It was created from the need to infect the world with its “Pathological Sound Formula”. To show how to grind death metal! š
Was there any bumps on the road? What kind of challenges did you have to deal with?
Dyvan: Too much to tell everything that has happened during these 30 years! Certainly one of the more difficult problems was the changing line-up. Fortunately, Kiszka was always efficient in this matter and every ember of the fire was extinguished efficiently and quickly. However, this issue affected both live performances and the creative process. At the moment, the line-up is stabilized. We are focusing on booking concerts, we are also thinking about a new album!
What was the most fulfilling and satisfying moment so far?
Dyvan: Of course, there were several such moments, certainly at the beginning of the road, the recording of the second demo “AutoeROTicism” was a great surprise not only in Poland but also abroad. Each record that the band released was also a big event in the face of the changing line-up. Mexico tours, 25th Anniversary Concerts, then 30th Anniversary Concerts!
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
Dyvan: Pathological Sound Formula!
What is your creative process like?
Dyvan: The creative process is not much different from what it looks like for most musicians š An idea comes up, we transfer it to the computer, arrange it and bang! There is an album š
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Dyvan: I donāt want to change anything. It doesnāt make any sense.
If you were asked to give a piece of advice to upcoming bands, what would that be?
Dyvan: I have only one advice. Do what your heart and soul telling to do. Everything else is only matter of hard work.
What has been the best performance of your career so far? If you didnāt become a musician, what would you be doing now?
Dyvan: I think I would do exactly what I do on a daily basis, i.e. work, home, concert from the fan’s perspective and stuff š We are not professional musicians at the moment, we create music out of passion, exactly as we want. Due to age, I come to the conclusion that it’s a bit too late to be a rock and roll star ;
What is new with the band at the moment? What are you currently working on and would like to share
with the world?
Dyvan: As I mentioned above, we are currently focusing on concerts, our last album “ROTend” on vinyl will be released soon – it will be a limited edition of 300 copies, so follow our social media so you don’t miss the opportunity to get your copy!
