Midnight Altar was written in the weeks following the passing of vocalist Steve Naemark”s father. The lyrics capture the vulnerability he felt while holding his father’s hand in his final moments. The song is about the final stage of grief: acceptance. The lyrics are a reminder to focus on the time they spent together, instead of dwelling on the time they cannot.” – Wyrmhaven

The band is currently writing their as-yet-untitled full-length album, following 2023 single “Sacred Grove” and 2020 EP Delirium.

Wyrmhaven will perform at AZ Desert DeathFest 2024 on May 4! The fest, which runs May 2-4, will be held at 191 Toole in Tuscon, AZ.
