“We’ve always written the kind of music we want to hear,” says COS founder and guitarist Mick Michaels. “We feel that’s the best approach to be sustainable as a band.”

Metal Up,” on SODEH Records, includes eight tracks in total and currently available on CD exclusively at

Following in the footsteps of previous COS releases trailblazing on the Indie Charts, including their cover versions of the Osmonds’ “Crazy Horses,” and Warrant’s “Inside Out,” “Hunter Prey” is already making its way up.

As the summer kicks in, Corners of Sanctuary have rolled out a number of shows in support of the new EP including performing with Any Given Sin, at SonarFest 2024 with Marc Rizzo’s Revenge Beast plus a mini tour in Canada this July. More dates are being scheduled.

Additionally, a biographical book, penned by Philadelphia author Dave Claw (Philly Metal: Profiles from the Underground), covering the band’s career. The book will contain back stories and interviews with the band along with a number of friends and supporters. The book is slated to release this coming holiday season.

A comic book inspired by the group’s 2012 album “Harlequin” is also in the works. No release date for the comic book as been set yet as production on the project begins this June.

“We’ve been given so many opportunities because of the support we’ve received and we do our best to make the most of each and every moment,” added Michaels. “We’re really grateful people are listening.”
