Dutch rock trio The Ballet Bombs were celebrating the release of their new live album Mutations on their Roadburn festival concert, as the record was officially dropped on the day of their live show last weekend.
An album, a concept… – born during lockdown
Everything is mutated: the world, cultural industry, and our band.
In a time where our industry is taken as seriously as freakshows, we (The Ballet Bombs) aimed to play ‘The Greatest Show(s) On Earth’!
We roamed the country between lockdowns, filled with boiled up passion.
We felt like peacocks, wishing to be able to spread our feathers once more. We stood proud and tall and played every show we possibly could!
Together with the audiences we filled the empty spaces we weren’t allowed to fill; with energy, joy, glorious anger, relief, and hope!
The magic of these shows – we believe – was captured on this record to bring this highly energetic live show to life again into your own homes.
