Cyanide 4 make their return in the scene, with their most recent release entitled “Amalgama”. The Greek hard/glam rock band proves once more their excellent quality and musicality, with an album that while seemingly simple; it is not and says a lot without ever babbling.

Based on and inspired by the classic Glam rock/metal scene the Cyanide 4 introduce their own take on the flamboyant sound of the ‘70s and ‘80s that slowly faded away, without ever dying. That last cinder is reignited by their compositions, their energy and pure desire to represent this exciting, vibrant music.

So, with a blend of hard rock elements, a flawless guitar work that undoubtedly is the protagonist and cannot go unnoticed, catchy, electric melodic lines and bright, engaging choruses, the Cyanide 4 produce and offer an album that leaves the best first impressions. Also, the vocal performance should not go unmentioned, since it is, without a doubt, an important selling point, with the band’s vocalist offering an expressive and captivating performance.

The “Amalgama” is an album youthful, vibrant and full energy and I believe this is the best way to describe this record, the sound and the overall approach. Old-school styled songs that are made to fill up arenas, yet with a modern sound tailored for the current scene. Along with a clean and clear, but distorted enough and electric production that compliments the compositions, the Cyanide 4 unleash an accessible and effective album, fun and exciting, that you must absolutely check out.
