“Endless Horizon” is a pure Melodic Metal album with 10 songs full of choirs and harmonies. It comes with a massive production, heavy guitar riffs, stunning lead guitars and amazing vocals and choir arrangements.

That’s what you can read in the press info. Galderia come from Marseille in France, founded in 2006. In 2009 there was a break of several months. But since then the band exists until today. Several EPs, two albums and an unplugged live album are on the credit side so far. Endless Horizon”, released in November, is the band’s third studio album.

“Answer The Call” starts very melodically, in the style of a great Rock anthem. And as announced, big epic choruses that almost encourage you to sing along. In “Striking The Earth” the tempo picks up a bit. Excellent lead guitar parts. And of course the choruses are not missing here either. The introduction of “Elation” is riff and drum driven. But after this stormy beginning, it becomes highly melodic again. With a slight pop edge. “Eternal Paradise” then offers variety, acoustic guitars and much calmer than before. Another beautiful Rock anthem. “Gonna Change It All” is a fast Rock number. Again, excellent guitar melodies and choir vocals can be heard. And there follow more Rock anthems with “Come With Me Now”, “Burning Higher” or also “Heart Of Mankind”. In between is the title song “Endless Horizon”, which starts with spoken words accompanied by piano sounds. But also here you can clearly hear the anthemic Rock character. The album ends with the beautiful ballad “Twenty One”.

The “Encyclopaedia Metallum” speaks of Power Metal, the label puts a “Melodic” in front of it. I wouldn’t go quite that far. If you want to classify the album in one category, then it should be 80s ( Stadium) Rock. Clearly harder than Bon Jovi, but in my opinion not heavy enough to be classified as Metal. But I don’t want to devalue the performance of the French, they do a very good job. Great melodies, good choruses, convincing vocal performance and excellent guitar work. Each of the ten songs has hit potential. Listening to them is fun from the first to the last second.
