Leadfeather are a Hard Rock band hailing from the UK. Their songs blend raw, riff-driven energy, a cinematic atmosphere and emotionally charged lyrics. The band was founded in 2024 by guitarist and songwriter Simon Hurts. Following ‘Roll The Dice’, the British band are releasing their second EP, ‘Catch The Silvertrain’.

‘Queen Of The Night’ is a riff-driven Heavy Rock track with booming drums and powerful, slightly snotty vocals. We then hear some classic Hard Rock on ‘Silvertrain’. Driving grooves, heavy riffs and a touch of blues take the listener back to the golden age of Hard Rock in the 1970s. Leadfeather also rock on uncompromisingly with ‘Wild Child’ too. The guitars blast out and the drums drive the track forward. Acoustic guitars and raw vocals initially dominate on ‘The Answer’. Hard riffs kick in later on. The guitar melodies are somewhat reminiscent of Southern Rock. Leadfeather then deliver hard Blues Rock with ‘Troubled Man’. This contrasts with a few quiet vocal passages. The highlight is a brilliant solo on the heavily distorted guitar. But the musicians are also at home in Folk Rock, as they demonstrate with ‘Walk Through Life’. A beautiful ballad with epic soundscapes brings the album to an end.

‘Catch The Silvertrain’ features five varied classic Rock songs, packed with heavy riffs and epic soundscapes. There’s also a soulful ballad with a touch of Folk. Each of the six tracks gives you goosebumps in its own way.
