MHF Member Band of the Month – Mob Rules
By Moon Shadoe
This month, we travel to Northern Germany to the town of Wilhelmshaven on the coast of the North Sea. In 1994, this Northern town saw the founding of the power metal band Mob Rules. The band began as a quartet and almost immediately began playing live shows, including opening for such bands as Pink Cream 69 and Crossroads.
In 1996, they added a second guitarist and self-financed a mini-album which prompted a deal with Limb Music. The positive reaction in Europe led to a co-headlining tour with Ivory Tower as well as playing as support to such acts as Overkill and Scorpuons as well as an appearance at Wacken in 2000.
Fast forward..2018 saw the release of their 9th studio release with ‘Beast Reborn. 2019 marks the bands 25th anniversary. They continue to impress with their skilled musicianship and energetic live performances.
Metalheads Forever is honored and proud to have among its membership, Mob Rules frontman Klaus Dirks and yes, you will occasionally see him post if you too are a member.
The MHF staff wishes Mob Rules continued success on their metal journey.
